Welcome to In Harmony – Telford & Stoke, a social development programme delivered through music making in the communities of Malinslee, Telford and Thistley Hough, Stoke since 2012. Following the famous ‘El Sistema’ Venezuelan orchestral music programme, our In Harmony project working directly with over 850 young people and their families to put music at the heart of local communities.
In Harmony – Telford & Stoke is a partnership between the Entrust Music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Manchester Camerata, Telford & Wrekin Music and City Music Service, Stoke who will be providing inspiring teachers and performers to work directly with the children and their families in both schools.
This blog is a way of keeping parents and the wider school community up to date with all of our various exciting activities. Our digital learning strand aims to enable children from both schools to share their feelings and develop learning partnerships bridging the geographical distance between our schools.
Children, Teachers and Musicians will be contributing to this blog, posting all sorts of interesting images, texts, audio and video, so keeping visiting to see how the programme develops and enjoy being part of In Harmony – Telford & Stoke.
