Welcome to In Harmony – Telford & Stoke, a three-year programme of music making in the communities of Malinslee, Telford and Heron Cross, Stoke. Following the famous ‘El Sistema’ Venezuelan orchestral music programme, our In Harmony project will be working directly with 770 young people and their families to put music at the heart of local communities.
In Harmony – Telford & Stoke is a partnership between the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Telford & Wrekin Music and City Music Service, Stoke who will be providing inspiring teachers and performers to work directly with the children and their families in both schools.
This blog is a way of keeping parents and the wider school community up to date with all of our various exciting activities. Our digital learning strand aims to enable children from both schools to share their feelings and develop learning partnerships bridging the geographical distance between our schools.
Children, Teachers and Musicians will be contributing to this blog, posting all sorts of interesting images, texts, audio and video, so keeping visiting to see how the programme develops and enjoy being part of In Harmony – Telford & Stoke.
If you would like further information about our programme please contact the Project Manager, Richard Shrewsbury on firstname.lastname@example.org
