Up Beat Dawley Weekender

The Up Beat Dawley Weekender has music, performances and dancing across Dawley.

There is a lot going on – In Harmony are performing twice but there is more to come to as well!

Friday 7 April 2017

In Harmony performance with the students from Old Park Primary school at the Dawley Dinner, Dawley House  

Lunchtime performance by musician Tom Wenlock in the Band Stand, High Street, Dawley

4.30-5.00 pm 
Nucleo Orchestra classical music performance at Dawley Town Hall  

6.30-8.00 pm
Under 16’s disco and street dance workshop at Dawley Town Hall (£1 entry)

7.00pm onwards
Live Music at Dawley Social Club

8.30 pm
Coaltrain (Blues Band) at the Elephant & Castle

Saturday 8 April

Free Family Fun Day – drop in at any time as we have various things happening throughout the day.

Between 11am to 3.00pm:

  • The Musical Magical Bike – all day children’s fun and games in the High St and Town Hall
  • Drop in arts and crafts workshops  in Dawley Town Hall all day
  • Storytelling in Dawley Town Hall (2.45 pm)
  • Spoons playing workshop in Dawley Town Hall (2.00pm)
  • Musical Performance from Telford Community Orchestra (11am)
  • Family sports in Dawley  Park (subject to weather)
  • Free refreshments

Between 3.30-5.00pm we are holding a

  • Family Barn Dance with Dave Hunt

From 7.30-11.00 pm we have an evening of Cajun and Folk Music including performances from:

  • Jo May
  • Against the Grain
  • Rory Mcleod
  • The Boat Band

Fully licensed bar

7.00pm onwards Tom Jones tribute act  at Dawley Social Club

8.30 pm onwards Live Music from Middle Space at the Elephant & Castle

Sunday 9 April 

3.00pm Family Film Show – join us for the sing-along version of Bugsy Malone
